Braids aren’t always our friend, but this one couldn’t be easier. Worn at Céline’s spring/summer 2016 show, this one is handy to recreate at home thanks to the bobbin you put in before you begin the tricky braid. Hairstylist and salon owner Ashleigh Farrelly talks us through the look…

1 This look can be achieved in so many types of hair, even particularly fine hair will look just as good. Start by adding some sleek styling cream and blow drying hair to about 90 per cent dry.

2 Next, using a tight bristle brush, brush your almost-dry hair into a ponytail, securing it with a bobbin mid-way between the nape of your neck and your crown. Not too high, not too low.

3 Make sure at this stage that the ponytail is neat, and add some hair wax to it to keep it looking slightly wet if you need to. Don’t add product to the hair to be plaited just yet.

4 Start braiding the loose hair that’s in the ponytail. Secure at the end with a hair elastic (invisible ones if possible).

5 Finally, add some hairspray to the braided section to keep any flyaways secure.

4 If you have a fringe or loose hairs that need to be secured, use hair clips in the same colour as your hair to do so. Finish with a blast of hairspray all over.Read more at:Long Prom Dresses
